Leeds University (LEEDS) brings substantial research leadership and management experience to NANOCANCER. It has >32,000 students and 3,000 researchers, in 9 faculties. It is a member of the Russell Group ‘Ivy League’ universities and is the UK University of the year (2017). Its annual research income in 2016 was €154 million. LEED’s Faculty of Medicine and Health is world-leading in research for oncology, regenerative medicine, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular diseases. It is a leader in translational R&I in replacement joints. It is home to the UK’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre.
